Obama abroad – the mainstream media in fawning ecstacy.
Few times has the left wing corruption of American journalism been more obvious than in the coverage being accorded the trip abroad of Barack Obama.
Firmly in the tank for the Obama campaign, all three network news anchors will be along offering adoring coverage of a candidate for whom no on can cite a single legitimate qualification for serving, and who has so little experience, opponents can factually note he has never even held a real job.
Once upon a time, Journalistic professionalism and ethics required those reporting the news to be impartial, accurate, and dedicated to the truth. Such a concept is a figment of past imaginations…none applies today to the mainstream media.

Today’s campaign issue? It’s Obama, stupid
McCain can win this election, but not because of who or what he is – but because of who and what he is not – he is not Barack Obama.
Obama is the core issue in this campaign – supporters see him as a rock star, opponents see his record of zero experience and consider his embrace, his endorsement, and his support of a radical hate-filled religious cult.
McCain stirs little positive enthusiasm among most Republicans, but a potential for Obama becoming Commander In Chief is so appalling a thought, a huge tidal wave of opposition is building across the nation.

Barack Obama and his plan to fund healthcare for illegal aliens
Real Americans – under the Obama healthcare plan – would be asked to pony up their tax money to underwrite massive healthcare for aliens who sneaked into this country and who threaten our security, our environment, and our financial future.
“Covering illegals adds dramatically to the cost of any program - and would encourage more folks to enter America illicitly.”
Obama is oblivious to the financial cost to taxpayers – but then Obama has never held a real job in his entire life
Opinion:
:Democrats and their total lack of energy policy and ideas
When confronted by serious crisis, approaches to finding solutions must be practical and provide for activation at the earliest possible moment.
Liberals suggestions seldom, if ever, do that.
The same applies to today’s energy fiasco in which Democrats are tightly bound. They have no practical answers to offer, and many impractical and often silly suggestions to be made.
The silliest is the Pelosi (and her liberal followers) plan to create a new tax – one whose admitted purpose is in punishing oil companies Madam Speaker blames on the high cost of oil. Pelosi cant be blamed, she hails from Frisco – arguably the most anti American city in America and certainly home to many of the more outrageously idiotic people anywhere.
It doesn’t take a lot of study to realize the Democrat solution will have one and only one result – it will cause an immediate rise in the price of gasoline customers must pay at the pump. Oil companies will simply pass along the Pelosi tax as anyone at all familiar with business would understand.
Liberals try to hide their void in ideas and solutions by focusing on and calling for, conversion to solar and wind. (Liberals also turn up their patrician noses at nuclear generation too) Fine. No one is suggesting research and development of alternative sources of energy be halted or diverted. Such intemperate actions are totally figments of liberal imaginations.
Not many windmills will be acceptable for automobiles any time in the near future. None at all. Automobiles are critical to American society today. We are a nation that needs mobility and demands independence. In some limited cases, mass transportation works, but those locations are very very limited in number. Most of America demands and needs its family automobile.
Of course families also depend on the produce and supplies that are delivered to retail markets by trucks. Rail wont work without trucking with which to finish the delivery process.
For better or for worse, for the foreseeable future, oil is the basic element of our energy production…especially in terms of our automobiles.
But try explaining that obvious fact to a liberal…of course, explaining any practical matter to a liberal is usually frustrating.
The only practical answer for confronting today’s crisis is drilling – off shore, in the northern shale, and in the barren wastelands of ANWR – no matter what the polar bears may say.

Do As They Say
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Congress: Unwilling to allow any expansion of drilling in American territory, Democrats are instead focused on changing American lifestyles. It's consistent with the goals of the party that wants to run everyone's lives.
Sponsored in the House by Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenauer and co-sponsored by four other Democrats and one Republican,Connecticut's Chris Shays, the Transportation and Housing Options for Gas Price Relief Act of 2008 is, like much of the nonsense dreamed up in Washington, misnamed.
It should be called the Central Planning and Potomac Manipulation Act of 2008.
Rather than dealing with the supply side by increasing domestic production of carbon-based fuels, the political left wants to use taxpayers' money to meddle with the demand side.
But the public isn't clamoring for a carbon-free, "sustainable" future. Voters want policymakers to solve today's energy problems now through sensible market solutions.
Should this Gas Relief Act become law, it would authorize the federal apparatus to expand public transportation; provide incentives for workers to use mass transit, bicycles, carpools or their feet to get to their jobs; work locally to create walkable and "bikeable" communities; educate Americans so they can make the "right" transportation and housing choices; and establish "location efficient mortgages" to make it more affordable to own homes near public transit.
With the advent of $4 gasoline, Democrats began sensing an opportunity to drive the country closer to their vision of utopia.
These are the people — or in some cases representatives of people — who want $8 a gallon gasoline so we'll get out of our cars, turn off our air conditioners, dim our lights, strangle our commerce and impose a global asceticism in a post-capitalism wilderness.
Of course, this spartan existence would be for the masses only. The elites will still be able to live their lives of opulence, just as high-ranking communists in the Soviet Union, the nomenklatura, had private Chaika lanes in Moscow streets that members of the working class — Marx's proletariat — were forbidden to drive on.
Al Gore provided a clear example Thursday of how such privileges are granted to the privileged by the privileged.
Gore, who wants to push Americans onto bikes and buses, used a convoy of two Lincoln Town Cars and one SUV to arrive for and then leave from his carbon-free speech at Constitution Hall in Washington.
As an American, Gore has the right to be a hypocrite. Neither he nor our elected officials, though, have the right to compel a free people to live the lives the Amerikan nomenklatura has selected for them. Washington's role is to serve the people, not the other way around.
