Very enlightening history lesson you gave, it actually had me reading until the political rhetoric broke through. I am indeed tired of the polarizing leanings of our government. But I am also tired of people on both sides who want to restore our "American Values." American values were originally founded on tolerance (although not in it's true essence). Look, the world has change. Our society has changed. Whether we believe homosexuals, or Muslims, or any other social group (or malady) will ultimately destroy "American Ideals" is just plain ludicrous. We can't turn back time, push people into their closets, or wish them away, shit, we can't even kill them (though history has given us many examples of people eliminating certain groups and individuals, and we have been guilty of that as well). We don't have any choice but to work and live together, the best we can. Division is surely the shortest path to loss of liberty and American resolve. So whether you lean to the right, or to the left, ask yourself this. "Am I being a good and productive American?"
Bringing back your " American Ideals" is doing nothing more than passing judgment, and that my friend is not yours to pass. I have a feeling that all of those who pass judgment and death (outside of crime, a grey area)are just as guilty of treason in the eyes of your God. You were put here to be truthful and love your neighbor. How are those for values? Worthy of new "American Ideals and Political Leanings?"

This winter’s been miserable,” Peavy said, acknowledging everything from his rehab from a season-ending latissimus dorsi tear on July 6, a recent illness of his father’s and unseasonably cold weather.

By changing the political base of a country, I change the political spectrum in the country. George Washington was a revolutionary figure in Europe, but a reactionary figure in American history.
